WatchGuard Firebox offers enterprise-grade security with leading effectiveness and price per performance.

WatchGuard® Technologies, a leader in advanced network security solutions, today announced its firewall product has achieved a “Recommended Rating” from NSS Labs, the world’s leading information security research and advisory company. In the 2017 Security Value Map™ (SVM) for Next Generation Firewalls (NGFW) published today, the Firebox M4600 scored above average in both security effectiveness and total cost of ownership.

Their stability, reliability, performance, flexibility, and total cost of ownership are all vital factors when making a buying decision," said Vikram Phatak, chief executive officer at NSS Labs. The NGFW Group Test integrates the Cyber Advanced Warning System (CAWS) for continuous testing with an exhaustive exploit library and hundreds of drive-by exploits being used in active campaigns by threat actors. This year NSS expanded the testing of evasions, which are techniques that disguise and modify attacks at the point of delivery to avoid detection and blocking by security products.
